How do Athletic Trainers get astronauts ready? Learn about exercise in space, the science behind it and the importance of healthy living in space. Hear from NASA athletic trainer Bruce Nieschwitz and former astronauts Mike Massimino and Garrett Reisman as they talk about the physical challenges astronauts face during their time in space, from navigating cumbersome uniforms to thriving in zero gravity situations. They will also talk about the importance of training ahead of time to ensure the safety of the astronaut at all times.
A Pre-show will take place at 5:00pm EST: T-38 Talon Talk with Curator of Aviation and Aircraft Restoration, Eric Boehm from the Intrepid Museum.
