NASA’s SpaceX Crew-2 mission Launch

NASA’s SpaceX Crew-2 mission will launch four astronauts aboard a Crew Dragon spacecraft on a Falcon 9 rocket to the space station, on Thursday April 22. It will be the first mission to fly two international partner crewmembers as part of the agency’s Commercial Crew Program. Hear from Dan Huot, Public Affairs Officer for NASA, as he gives a behind the scenes look at the launch.

A pre-show will take place at 5:00pm EST with an interactive discussion with Eric Boehm, Curator at Intrepid Museum.

The event is hosted and co-produced by John “Das” Galloway, founder of the Kerbal Space Academy.

This program is supported through a NASA Cooperative Agreement awarded to the New York Space Grant Consortium.

Dan Huot works at NASA’s Johnson Space Center and focuses on the International Space Station and it's role in preparing humanity for missions far beyond our planet, while delivering benefits to those of us here on Earth. He also focuses on NASA's Commercial Crew Program, which just launched astronauts from America for the first time since the end of the Space Shuttle program and is regularly flying new crews to station. Tasks include media relations, strategic communication planning, executive communications, crisis communications, multimedia production, live television coverage, written press and web materials, and others.
